Happy New Year

Where has the Davidson Clan been? Two months have passed since our last update. In summary:
We’ve celebrated Bethany’s christening, Bethany’s first birthday, lots of her friend’s first birthdays, Mark’s 30th and Christmas…. It has been a great time.
The christening was in Fairford. Quite a last minute and disorganised affair in Jen and Mark standards….. we didn’t have a single spreadsheet to keep us on top of things!!! Anyways apart from Bethany being a little under the weather it went really well and we were really grateful to all our friends and family who managed to be there.
Bethany managed to get three cakes for her first birthday!!! One from Grandma Henderson, one from Mummy and one from her Nursery… I was most offended when she refused my extremely sticky and lovely chocolate cake, but devoured the piece that nursery gave her. Mummy must try harder! We had a couple of her friends (and their parent’s) around on her actual birthday and all had a birthday tea together…. It was great; we got to eat sausage rolls, cheese and pineapple, jelly and ice cream YUMMY.
On the following Tuesday Mark celebrated his 30th. He took the day off from work so we had a lovely family day together then Mark and I went to the cinema in the evening (a huge adventure once you have children!). At the weekend we went out for dinner on Friday and on Saturday we did a SALSA course in London!!! It was exhausting and so much harder than we were expecting. All the same the course was very light hearted and a great laugh.
Bethany managed to string two steps together around this time, but with perfect timing decided to perfect her walking skills in Scotland, where we celebrated Christmas. With both Mum and Dad there, along with Gran, Grandad and several Aunties, Bethany walked across the room on December 23rd… It was very exciting and has been amazing to watch how quickly this has developed into quite a confident speed walk (still ending with a collapse in a heap!)

Christmas was a great celebration with 10 of us around the table for Chrimbo dinner! My highlight of our time in Scotland was getting to lie-in until 1130 one morning. WOW!!!
HAPPY NEW YEAR to all, we hope 2008 is a good un and hope to catch up with you all soon.
