Vive le France!

Well we’re back from our hols… Although the weather wasn’t brilliant we had a great time. Bethany enjoyed splashing around in the pool on the couple of sunny days. When it was too chilly for the pool she enjoyed being pushed on the big swing… in fact she squealed with delight.

The week saw the arrival of Bethany’s first two teeth, which excited all of us a lot… I’m not sure Bethany was too impressed with the pain they caused. (Teeth arrived on Tuesday 10th July). During the week Bethany also mastered holding her own bottle and drinking from it – or chewing it when the teeth were hurting.

Despite lessons from Aunty Helen and much encouragement from everyone else Bethany is still not crawling and she gets more and more frustrated as each day passes. Today she managed a combination of a break-dance caterpillar and baby crawling motion… she did however manage to reach her chosen destination.

It’s been a busy week since we got back… Bethany was swimming with Gran Henderson on Tuesday and today had a visit from Grannie and Grandpa Willis. Mummy has just about managed to clear the loads of washing and tidy the house up and Daddy is working hard in preparation for his work trip to New York in a couple of weeks.
