I keep on learning new tricks

Bethany’s crawling has developed well and although her technique is still not text book she can propel herself with much speed to the required destination….usually the fireplace which Mummy is trying to teach her to stay away from!

Last week Bethany also learnt to sit up herself and pull herself up to standing – this has made nap times a little more difficult. You think its gone quiet because she’s gone to sleep but in fact she’s concentrating on pulling herself up against the cot bars.

It’s been a busy week: Music class, a trip to Gran and Grandpa Henderson, which included a visit to Lydiard Park a visit to Great Grandma Willis in Cardiff and then a stop over to see Clare and 10 day old Archie in Bristol. Unfortunately Aunty Lucy was working so we hope to catch up with her soon.

On Saturday Mark got back from New York. His flight was delayed so he wasn’t able to go into London to celebrate Cian’s 30th birthday – Happy birthday Cian. Sleeping on the way, Mark did manage to come to Sevenoaks with Bethany and I, where Ian and Melissa were celebrating their engagement and Ian’s pending 30th birthday. Bethany was in her element with a large audience to perform for – she decided to clap her hands for the first time. Hopefully now that she can do this she may start to use some of the sign language Mummy has been teaching her.

On Sunday we went for a walk on some of the footpaths near us. We took a picnic and thoroughly enjoyed spending a day together in the sunshine. A some points the pace was just too much for Bethany to handle!

Bethany continues to amaze us with the rate at which she develops – I can’t believe she is 8 months on Wednesday. Mummy got a bit carried away taking some photos today so click here to see them. Bethany also took her first photo… not bad!
