Nearly there..

Hello there - Different writing style for this update..

As usual there will be a few pictures of the house (we now have a date in about four weeks when we will officially move back) but also trying to give some updates on Bethany and Callum.

We're still keeping busy.. We've seen Auntie Helen run the London Marathon, seen Poppy Morris christened, celebrated Jen's birthday, had various Bank Holiday's and are keeping our social lives ticking over. We've even braved inviting friends into the flat for dinner.

The flat we have been renting for the last six months was sold (as part of a house) recently and so we now have a very definite date to leave. We are moving back into the the house on the 14th July. We are not exactly sure of how much will be finished but are counting on having most of it painted, kitchen and bathrooms working and carpet down through much of it - In essence, we will have more than enough ready and we are getting excited about moving back !

Bethany and Callum are really growing up now. Callum has started to speak and string sentences together. He will repeat words when he is told them and is expanding his vocabulary. "No" remains a favourite but we have recently got "yeah" as well and he does know "please" and "thank you".
'Please may I get down', 'wrong way', 'I did poo poo!' and 'cheese and marmite!' are some of Callum's top phrases

Callum's ear seems to have improved. We went to see a cranial osteopath which definitely seems to have helped. Interestingly since the treatment Callum has also started eating vegetables and chewing meat without spitting it out! I don't know if these two events can be linked, but in my mind they are!
Bethany is looking after him well and they will play together a lot of the time without attention. She makes friends quickly and will often run off with children she knows from pre-school at the park. We think that she knows them and at least uses names which dont cause parents to frown. Her swimming remains a strong-point and she can swim a width of a pool unaided - Her mouth and nose remain underwater for large parts of that but she doesnt look out of control. Her swimming teachers appear to be in awe of her breast stroke!

We are looking very forward to Gran's 60th in a few weeks and are also counting down the weeks to our big family holiday in France in September..
